Future Factory - Students at Darmstadt University draft proposals for the future of the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site.

04.09. – 07.10.2022 Future Factory Students at Darmstadt University draft proposals for the future of the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site.

Titel future Factory

The water tower as a central entrance platform, the Power Station I as a unique summer stage: Extensive planning, construction and design measures are underway at the Völklingen Ironworks in parallel with the exhibition projects.

The FUTURE FACTORY in the vestibule of the ore hall now offers an insight into how architecture students envision the future of the World Heritage Site. From September 4 to October 7, designs, plans and models by students of the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, who developed their own visions of the new visitor spaces as part of their studies, will be on display there.

The FUTURE FACTORY in the Ore Hall is a cooperation between the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site and the Architecture and Interior Design course at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences under the direction of Deputising Professor Christina Beaumont.
